This course is designed for personnel in the private sector who have completed the OTI 500 instructor course. It is designed to focus on recent changes to OSHA’s most common hazards and violations. OSHA’s 29 CFR 1926 Construction Industry Standard will be provided. Construction Industry voluntary compliance outreach trainers are required to take this course every four years. If your card has expired you must take the OTI 500 course.

Students will be asked to develop and present a 30-60 minute presentation during class time as part of the requirements to become an authorized trainer. To facilitate this, the use of a personal computer is welcomed into the course for the creating of the presentation.

IMPORTANT: Please provide a copy of your current authorized trainer card and the prerequisite verification form. If you do not provide a copy before the course or bring it with you to the course a new card/certificate will not be issued until one is on file with the USF OTI Education Center Office. Please note that your card must not be more than 90 days expired.  If the card is more than 90 days expired you will need to retake the trainer course (500 for Construction) to remain active. If you do not have your card please contact the education center where you took the course for a copy or a letter stating that you are an authorized trainer and what your expiration date is.
